About Capture Music

A space to make
something happen.

Capture Music is a creative music space at The Pioneer Club in St Albans, founded by musician, filmmaker and producer Ben Richardson.

It brings together the things I enjoy most: making music, working with other people and capturing a great performance. Having spent years playing in bands and working in photography, film and communications, I wanted to create somewhere those interests could come together.

You might arrive with a song to develop, a recording project, or a band preparing for an important gig. My aim is to give you the space, support and attention to move it forward—and enjoy the process.

Being based at Pioneer puts Capture Music within a venue with a long history of supporting music and young people. I’m building on that spirit, creating opportunities for musicians to meet, collaborate and develop their work.
